KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE MANAGEMENT OF OBESITY IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE

Abstract

To analyze the knowledge of health professionals on the management of obesity in Primary Health Care (PHC). This is a descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach carried out with PHC health professionals in the city of Iguatu-CE. about obesity care. 72 health professionals participated in the research. It was observed with the research that the vast majority of health professionals do not have training in the management of obesity, in addition, materials and important instruments for the care of patients with obesity are unknown by some professionals. Therefore, it is essential that professionals working at this level of care are trained to work in this management, contributing to the health of the territory, having access to the information and materials available for this.
