BENEFICIOS DE LA ACTIVIDAD FÍSICA EN EL TRATAMIENTO DEL CÁNCER

Resumen

Presentar discusiones sobre los principales beneficios de la actividad física o ejercicio físico como intervención no farmacológica en el tratamiento del cáncer, a partir de la bibliografía existente sobre el tema. Revisión sistemática de la literatura utilizando las siguientes bases de datos: Scielo, Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde, Pubmed, Lilacs y Google académico. Las cadenas utilizadas se seleccionaron de acuerdo con los términos MeSH, que consisten en la siguiente cadena "ejercicio físico" o "actividad física" y "tratamiento del cáncer" o "tratamiento de neoplasias". Se ha demostrado que la actividad física y el ejercicio tienen una alta correlación con varios beneficios para la salud de los pacientes con cáncer, mostrando evidencia de que son metodologías con un alto sesgo de posibilidades de intervención. Se pueden obtener varios beneficios, independientemente de la etapa del tratamiento, ya sea preoperatorio, postoperatorio o durante la quimioterapia y radioterapia, se aprecian diferentes puntos positivos para la inclusión de esta práctica en los tratamientos convencionales.
