To describe the experience of applying instruments that enable the effectiveness of the nursing process in elderly people with multimorbidities. This is an experience report on the application of the instrument from December 2021 to February 2022, to patients with morbidities using two forms, in which the first was associated with the patient's subjective data and nanda domains (2021 -2023), in which he elaborated nursing diagnoses, the second form addressed Orem's self-care with different evaluation criteria for each item. The result presented several nursing diagnoses, which included Ineffective control of the therapeutic regimen, Willingness for increased control of the therapeutic regimen and Willingness for increased control of the therapeutic regimen, having results, intervention and evaluation of the study. It is concluded that the use of classification systems made it possible to establish the diagnoses, interventions and results of nursing, as well as allowing the active participation of the patient in his entire care plan.
