MENTAL HEALTH OF HEALTH PROFESSIONALS IN PANDEMIC TIMES

Understanding the relationship between the Covid-19 pandemic and the mental health of health professionals in a Family Health Unit (USF) in a municipality in the state of Ceará. An exploratory field research, with a qualitative approach, was carried out from June to July 2022 with health professionals from the aforementioned USF. The collection took place in person, accounting for a total of 07 health professionals who worked with notification of suspected cases and with sample collection for carrying out the Covid-19 tests. The research followed ethical precepts n° 5.445.350. The study showed the impact on the mental health of health professionals when interacting with the new reality where fear, worry, stress, anxiety and the main coping and adaptation strategies emerged in the physical, psychological and social dimensions. The findings suggest a greater offer of support and psychosocial support for health professionals in their work process and current changes.
