Objective: To analyze scientific evidence regarding the procedures adopted by Emergency Regulation Centers in response to calls involving patients with suspected stroke. Methods: An integrative literature review was conducted using the PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane Library, and LILACS databases, including studies published between 2020 and 2025 in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. After applying eligibility criteria, four studies were included in the sample. Results: Evidence showed that failures in identifying symptom onset, limitations in telephone triage, and communication difficulties can delay stroke care. Conversely, standardized protocols, telemedicine, and interprofessional communication helped reduce response times and improve the quality of pre-hospital care. Conclusion: The Emergency Regulation Center plays a vital role in the stroke care pathway. Strengthening regulation protocols, team training, and the use of technology can optimize pre-hospital care and contribute to better clinical outcomes.
