A formação/educação de profissionais de saúde é frequentemente indicada como decisiva para o fortalecimento de valores como a integralidade, o cuidado, o trabalho interprofissional, perspectiva ampliada de saúde, trabalho no território. No entanto, apesar de haver, oscilando no tempo, políticas e programas para favorecer formações em sintonia com apostas estruturantes para o SUS, raramente se reconhece ou se toma como objeto de políticas as intensas disputas que ocorrem também aí no campo da educação dos profissionais de saúde.
